Director: Fermin Narin

Ferman Narin was born in Diyarbakır in 1995 and completed his education life in Diyarbakır Vali Ünal Erkan Primary School and Namık Kemal Vocational High School. In 2016, he started his undergraduate studies at Mersin University Faculty of Communication-Radio Cinema Television Department. He edited many short films and commercials and worked as an assistant director in various projects.SOYKA is Ferman Narin's first short film.He is currently studying at the Radio and Television Department of Mersin University.

Director Statement

PIRABOK' is a legend that has been told for many years in Mesopotamia. It is the first fantastic horror story adapted to cinema. We also wanted to immortalize this story with cinema. Our movie, which stands in a different place in its own class, is made based on a true story.This movie reveals the real fears of the viewers. It is a movie that will make goosebumps made in the form of "Fear-Tension", which is rising in our country and in the world. We want to combine and create a new narrative language in our digitalized era. We believe that 'PIRABOK' is a good example in this field with shooting scales, camera movements, sound, color and bold scenario.
