About Patrick Hickey, Jr.

Patrick Hickey Jr. Is the author of The Minds Behind the Games: Interviews With Cult And Classic Video Game Developers, which was released in April 2018 and is chock full of interviews with legendary developers, in an ESPN 30-for-30 style that allows them to tell their story. His second book in the series, The Minds Behind Adventures Games, was released in December 2019. His third book, The Minds Behind Sports Games, is set for a Summer 2020 release. At least three more sequels to the series have also been confirmed.

In addition to video game journalism, Hickey Jr. is a voice-actor, having starred in the 2018 indie survival horror hit and 2019 Switch, PS4 and Xbox One release, The Padre (also serving as English language Story Editor), from Shotgun With Glitters. The game’s sequel, The Padre: One Shell Straight to Hell, is set for a Fall 2020 release. 

Hickey is currently writing the story for the upcoming sci-fi shooter game, KROOM, where he will also be performing voice-over duties. Hickey also plays the role of Rex in the upcoming indie game “Relentless Rex,” and served as the narrator in “The Kaiju Offensive,” which hit Steam in 2019.

He is an author of five books (and counting) on video games and will discuss horror games.
