Director Statement

"Hunger was influenced by Fairy Tales and became a tale of magic realism. An allegory about misery, hunger and the actual state of our civilization. I want to break the barrier of language by making a film with no dialogue that recalls the origins of cinema and the power of telling a story." - Carlos Meléndez
