As a successful actress and model, I fell victim to a psychotic stalker. The event left me traumatized, and I started to suffer from regular nightmares and headaches. While struggling to cope with my psychological trauma and the debilitating effects of strong painkillers, I found release by writing a film screenplay based on my own experience combined with my acting experience. When I met Randy Kalsi, he took me out of the nightmare world and gave me the opportunity to turn my nightmares into reality in the form of motion picture. We became a team of independent filmmakers. Randy helped me to take my destiny into my own hands. Our first movie, Daytime Nightmare, took us a little over two years to produce and complete. A lot of work, time and effort went to into making this movie happen. Our movie a full length 85 min feature film, which we financed ourselves. Because of my own experience I became a huge supporter of the Me Too Movement and supporter of all Women in Film. I can proudly say, we had as many women on set as men. I tried to have a balanced female/male cast and crew. Daytime Nightmare stays true to its name by bringing nightmares into reality, whilst following the story of Lucy.

Not many people make movies about Nightmares, Nightmare Disorder or Mental Illnesses. The story of Daytime Nightmare addresses this subject in the form of a psychological drama/horror film in an interesting way so it can reach out and appeal to a wide audience who can relate to it. Nightmare Disorder is known as a dream anxiety disorder, sleep disorder characterised by frequent nightmares and involves undesirable experiences that occur while you're falling asleep, during sleep or when awake or you're waking up. People with depression or schizophrenic patients may have frightening dreams during a relapse of the illness. The nightmare disorder in the general population is estimated to be about 5%, and about 30% in a patient group with various mental disorders such as schizophrenia. My aim is to spread awareness about Mental Health and related issues and hopefully reach out to those who can relate personally to this subject.
